Tale of Time is a non-euclidian top-down puzzle game.

A teenager takes on a mission to retrieve their a long-lost family heirloom from the past, with the help of time-traveling portal spells. 

The portal spells you create reveals the same place 8 years ago. Multiple spells can be stacked up to increase their potency exponentially, taking you back by 8²(64), 8³(512), and 8⁴(4,096) years.

With these powerful spells, you will solve intricate puzzles, travel back to the beginning of a civilization, and unravel secrets no one have heard of…

 

The original demo of Tale of Time was developed in 48 hours during the Global Game Jam 2023. In 2025, it got completely reworked into the current demo to showcase on GDC 2025.
